How can I volunteer to help in the H1N1 flu vaccination efforts?

YAMMRS anticipates that it will need to vaccinate nearly 150,000 York and Adams County residents from the established priority groups.  This is an enormous undertaking and one that will require the entire community’s response.  YAMMRS is looking for volunteers – both qualified clinicians and non-clinicians – to assist at community and school-based sites.  If you are willing to assist in this effort, please complete the associated volunteer form and you will be contacted by a YAMMRS volunteer.  Please remember that you do not need to be a trained healthcare provider to assist.  YAMMRS is also looking for individuals who can greet and register people, and help with event logistics.

YAMMRS strongly encourages all potential volunteers to register on the SERVPA website (www.serv.pa.gov).  SERVPA is an online, confidential registry for medical and non-medical volunteers in Pennsylvania.  Your registration on SERVPA does not mean you will be contacted in the event of a disaster, or that you must participate if called.
